It would surprise you how much renovation companies throw away - materials, paint, parts of houses, like windows and doors, etc.  For the most part, the materials are unusable as they are water damaged, are no longer structurally sound or consist of materials whose energy efficiency decreases if they are used again.  However, there are ways to reuse some of what we currently have left over in an effort to reduce the amount of material going to the landfill sites during your renovation.

Pictured, is an old 24" vanity that we were able to  recover with maple and re-use in an ensuite. 

Doors and drawers can all be remodeled to create the look you want.  Leftover travertine (inside the cupboard) is 12"x12" tile - enough for an ensuite floor and backsplash.  Our clients give us leftover materials, asking us to discard them but instead we renew them.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.  Larger pieces of unwanted granite can be recut and used as a vanity top or on a kitchen island.  There are many materials that can be reused in a renovation, right down to the rolls of plastic used to protect your furniture.

Georgia Glen Renovations & Services Ltd. are very concerned about the amount of garbage produced.  We have a one ton van that visits sites to remove garbage.  We rescue much of what we pick up to transform them into useable items.
